There is cooperation in combating poverty, in promoting industry, trade and investment in Swaziland and not least in cultural exchange and promoting development in the area of sport.

Scholarship programmes, micro-measures in development cooperation, close cooperation in the cultural and sports sectors and humanitarian aid projects are important features of bilateral relations. Trade with Germany is modest and is mostly conducted through South Africa.

German official visits Swaziland

From October 31 to November 2, Günter Nooke, the Personal Representative of the Federal Chancellor for G8-Africa, visited the Kingdom of Swaziland. During his visit he had various meeting with representatives of the Swazi government, the royal family, the AIDS council and civil society.
