Youth and Exchange
Exchange programs and school partnerships enable the mobility of young people across borders while enhancing mutual understanding, tolerance and open-mindedness. During the exchanges, students acquire intercultural experience, which is important for their personal and professional development. Germany's Foreign Ministry in Berlin supports many different activities in the area of school exchange.
Beginning May 2011, German schools abroad that have been deemed worthy by a German government inspection team will be awarded the “Excellent German School Abroad” quality seal in the form of a certificate signed by German President Christian Wulff.

Two Pretoria high schools were recently awarded the status of "PASCH“ schools, thereby joining the twelve existing partner institutions in the country. An expression of this special status is traditionally a particular badge, indicating that the school in question is part of this unique network.
