That is the idea behind the new develoPPP.de- educational project “News for Kids“, initiated by the German Press Agency (dpa) and the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in cooperation with the German Society for International Cooperation.

The German car manufacturer Porsche launches an educational training project to help socially disadvantaged young adults in South Africa. From mid-2017, a total of 75 young men and women will be trained as service mechatronics at the new Porsche Training and Recruitment Center in South Africa across three academic years. This training will unlock career opportunities for the young adults, not only at Porsche itself, but also with other German car brands in the VW Group.

A workshop on Violence Prevention took place at the Pretoria National Botanical Garden on November 2, 2016. It was part of a joint initiative by the South African-German Development Cooperation. The hosting organizations were the National Treasury of South Africa, the German Embassy and its implementing agency GIZ.
